my dog is exploding
My dog is exploding, thus it must be spring. As the flowers break their underground slumber, so too does the undercoat of a husky: lying dormant all winter it bursts forth in spring. My floor and yard resemble a field of dandelions gone to seed; petting him is similar to scattering the feather-light clouds of seeds, navigating the open wind searching for a distant shore to call 'home.' It's not the animal who propagates, but his hair.
